Code of conduct

24 Hour Rule

Any discussion of a negative issue relating to a game or training must wait 24 hours. If there is an urgent issue please contact Australian Basketball Academy directly, not the coach.

The aim is to allow a cooling off time to reduce emotions and add perspective to a situation.

Please not that coaches can only discuss a player to that player's parent or guardian (eg coaches can only discuss Billy with the parents of Billy, they can not talk to John's parents about Billy).

If parents or guardian's want to discuss how their child can improve the discussion is welcome.

  • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person.
